Secretary of State Dennis Richardson Reiterates Focus on

Serving Oregonians

SALEM, OR — Today, President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order to convene a national commission to investigate voter fraud throughout the country. Secretary Richardson released the following statement:

“While I have not been invited to participate in this Commission, if I am, I will not be able to accept. My time and focus are on my duty to serve the people of Oregon as Secretary of State. My commitment to expanding voter access while ensuring the integrity of elections is my mission.

“Oregon has an open and honest voting system. You can’t hack paper. There will always be isolated instances of individuals acting in ways contrary to our values, but we will find them and prosecute.”
